Hope everyone had a great holiday. (For those of you who celebrate Christmas. To my Hanukkah ladies, Happy Hanukkah!) We spent Christmas Eve night at my mom's, and opened gifts then. I got a cute cardigan, money, etc etc. I realized that I married the best guy ever when I opened a weighted companion cube cookie jar. (For those of you who are unfamiliar, it's from the video game Portal.) I had to wipe away tears, I was so excited. Christmas day, we headed to my niece's Yia Yia's house for more Christmas celebrations. Most of the gift-giving was for Lilli, and I got some great video of her surprised face opening gifts. Connie (Yia Yia) gave me some home-made jellies and knitted dish rags. I'm ready to toast some English muffins and sample everything.

Now we're up in northern KY for DH's family Christmas. Everyone will get together tomorrow and do a mass gift opening. Those of us who are older drew names so that we'd only have to get gifts for one person. I have no clue who got my name so it should be interesting.

Another friend IRL is expecting. She texted me and told me the other day that she's 10 weeks along. I'm excited for her, but sad for me. I'm feeling the same old feeling of being "left behind" again. It's not that I don't want them to be pregnant...it's that I want me to be pregnant, too. Oh well. In time, I guess.
