October 5, 2011

Oh good. I was hoping this week would get worse.

I've had a rough week so far. Sunday, I had a guy come up to me at church and say, "So I heard you guys are expecting!" I had to explain to him that we lost the baby at 9 weeks. I had tried saying, "Well, we were, but not anymore." But he didn't get what I meant. I had already been dwelling on the miscarriage that day, and I went to the nursery and just cried.

Monday, I went to get my shower before work and there was no water. I called the water company and the woman, sounding bored to tears, informed me that they were replacing a line in my neighborhood and the water wouldn't be back on for hours. I was ticked, because it seems like they should give us some sort of notification that we're going to be without water for a while. Suddenly, the water came back on. I decided to try and wash my hair while it was still running, and mid-wetting, the water turned a disgusting murky brown. I ended up calling my preacher's wife and running to their house to use their shower. I was 2 minutes late to work, for the first time. Ugh.

Tuesday was super busy at work, but thankfully fairly uneventful. The only bad thing about that day was that my knee really bothered me and started doing some new, painful things.

And now, today. I was getting ready to head out because I had an OB/GYN appointment at 2:30. My phone rang, and lo and behold, it was the OB/GYN's office calling to cancel my appointment. Lucky for me, they were super great about rescheduling. Hah, just kidding. They offered me a lovely appointment on October 26th. So I get to wait 21 days for them to poke and prod all my most delicate places. Ugh. I am so annoyed I could just hit someone in the eye. I might be looking at other OB/GYN offices in town and finding someone else who will actually honor their scheduling commitments.
